A TEENAGE love triangle ended in a 14-year-old Blackburn boy slashing his rival with a craft knife.
Blackburn magistrates heard the victim was left with a 15cm slash to his stomach after the two boys squared up to each other when they met in the street.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to attempting to wound the 16-year-old victim.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the victim was the former boyfriend of the girl the 14-year-old was seeing. There had been several incidents between them and abuse exchanged through social media.
On the day of the incident they confronted each other after a chance meeting on the street and both threw punches but missed.
The defendant then slashed his adversary across the stomach with a craft knife before running off.
The victim did not realise what had happened until he lifted his shirt and saw the wound.
