MendIT, which was set up in 2011 and employs 13 members of staff, is a leading computer repair specialist that offers insurance, extended warranties and repair services.
The annual list, which this year included financial service firms and electric bicycle manufacturers through to digital advertising companies and energy providers, was unveiled at a packed event held at LSO St Luke’s in London and hosted by comedian Chris Turner.
Dedicated to celebrating innovative, early-stage companies that are triggering change in their respective markets, previous Everline Future 50 winners include Secret Escapes and Made.com.
Managing director Steve Ackers said: “In business, finding answers to everyday problems means you’re often onto a winner.
“That’s exactly what MendIT has done in its relatively short life. We are doing something different in a well-established industry.
“At present the experience for businesses and individuals suffering from issues like a damaged laptop or smashed smartphone screen who go down the traditional route is an exasperating one.
“Resellers have an angry customer on their hands, who in turn suffer from lengthy turnaround times.
The whole process is a headache for all concerned.
“What MendIT has done is completely turn this messy business into a slick and pain-free operation for all concernedboth IT resellers and their end user customers.”
Russell Gould, of digital business lenders Everline and Ezbob, said: “The calibre of businesses on this year’s list is testament to the wealth of innovation and creativity in the UK at the moment.
“Small and medium-sized enterprises are the bedrock of the economy, so it is great to see so many celebrated for being disruptive in their fields.”
“I hope this year’s winners inspire a new wave of businesses and I look forward to watching their developments in the months and years ahead.”
Amy Carroll, Group Editor, Real Business, said: “For the fourth year running we have identified 50 exciting and disruptive businesses that are all breaking new ground and transforming the sectors within which they operate.
“I wish them all every success for the future.”
