A WOMAN needed treatment for the effects of smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a house in Burnley.
The blaze, which started in an upstairs bedroom, happened in Venice Avenue at around 3.45pm on Saturday.
Firefighters said the woman took in smoke as she rounded up her three dogs to make sure they were safe.
There were five other people in the property at the time, but everybody was out when the crews arrived.
Watch manager Neil Hardiman said: "The fire destroyed one of the bedrooms and there was quite severe smoke damage to the whole of the first floor.
"The family will have to be rehoused.
"We have a Red Cross fire emergency support service and we requested them to come to the incident to help the occupants."
