Woman fights off would-be hangbag thief in Burnley
A WOMAN was left terrified when she was attacked in a Burnley street early today.
The victim was walking in Briercliffe Road shortly after midnight when she was grabbed from behind.
Police believe the attacker was trying to steal the 54-year-old’s handbag.
Anybody with information should call 101.
