PRESTON Crown Court was evacuated after a fire alarm sounded at around 10.30am today.
Hundreds of visitors were asked to leave the building by a public address system announcement.
Although it was a false alarm and re-entry was allowed 10 minutes later, the alarm will likely cause some disruption to today's proceedings because each visitor will be required to through security checks before re-entering.
