A TAXI driver has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with wounding after allegedly driving his car at a man during a dispute over a mobile phone.
Rameez Wakas, 24, of Richmond Street, Accrington, pleaded not guilty to wounding Damian Bell, dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident.
He was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court where he will appear on May 26.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said Mr Bell was carried on the front of a car before being thrown off and suffering a fractured skull.
