A PET dog was stolen from a garden at a house in the Mill Hill area of Blackburn.
Officers said Izzy, a black Staffordshire bull terrier, was snatched from King’s Road around 4pm on Tuesday.
A police investigation has been launched and officers have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

The man was described as being white, in his late 20s or early 30s, around 5ft 11ins tall and of slim build.
PC Scott Boast said: “I would appeal for anybody who has any information about this incident or knows who the man in the CCTV is to contact us.”
