Mark, who tips the scales at about 23 stones, consumes some 8,000 calories a day in training to maintain his strength and fighting weight and was happy to support national pie week with the help of Clayton Park.
He said: “When I’m in full training I burn a lot of calories and I do like a proper meat pie.
“Meat pies are a British institution and it’s nice to be helping promote a local company which makes some of the best in the country.”
Clayton Park Bakery managing director, Barry Thomas, said: “Helping fuel one of the strongest men in the world – who lives just a couple of miles from our two bakeries – with some of our steak pies seemed the perfect match.”
