A DOORMAN needed stitches when he was hit over the head with a glass bottle at a memorial event in a nightclub.
The event at B-Low nightclub, in Hammerton Street, Burnley, was being held in memory of of two brothers on February 7.

Police said that at around 11.45pm, a disturbance broke out near the DJ booth.
DC Wendy Rothwell, of East CID, said: “Three doormen tried to break the melee up and the struggle then continued at the bar area.
“It is whilst there that somebody picked up a glass bottle and struck one of the doormen to the back of the head.
“He needed four stitches for a cut of an inch-and-a-half.”
The staff member was able to return to work soon after receiving treatment.
A police investigation was launched and officers are appealing for anybody who might be able to help with their inquiries to get in touch.
