A MAN who took his sister's vehicle and sparked a police chase, is awaiting sentence by Pennine magistrates.
Sufyan Iqbal, 20, who went through red lights and was followed by officers in the Walton Lane and Reedyford Road area of Nelson, had no licence and wasn't insured. He finally turned into Rakeshouse Road, in the town, hit a fence and ended up in a garden.

Iqbal, of Chapelhouse Road, Nelson, admitted aggravated taking of a Toyota Yaris, driving without due care and attention, no insurance and no licence, on Leeds Road, Nelson, on October 15.
The defendant was bailed until November 18, for a pre- sentence report. He had no previous convictions.
