A 28-YEAR-OLD man drove off despite his ex-partner jumping on the bonnet of his car to stop him because she thought he had been taking drugs.
Blackburn magistrates heard Jackie Holt was carried on the car for 'about eight houses' before she was thrown off, suffering cuts and bruises.

Brian Paul Lang accelerated away without stopping and later told Miss Holt he thought he had killed her.
Lang, of Gloucester Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and assaulting Jackie Holt with his car.
He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the couple had been in a relationship for eight years and Miss Holt said there had never been any violence.
On the night of the incident he came to her house and she said he had a 'vacant' look in his eye.
"When he left and got into his vehicle she jumped onto the bonnet to stop him because she thought he had taken drugs," said Miss Allan.
"He told her to get off but she demanded he give her the keys and he started to drive. He increased his speed and eventually she fell off, hitting her head on the concrete floor, and then drove off leaving her on the floor."
Miss Allan said Lang turned up at Miss Holt's house a few days later and said: "I thought I'd killed you. You're still here."
She replied; "You didn't stop or come back."
He said; "I couldn't, I was too scared."
Paul Huxley, defending, said Lang had not driven off at high speed although he accepted Miss Holt was on the bonnet as he set off.
