THREE people escaped major injury after being knocked down while they were using a zebra crossing in Accrington.
Eagle Street was blocked near Tesco at around 1.55pm on Monday after the trio were hit by a black Nissan Duke.

Several passers-by called police to report two women lying in the road, a police spokeswoman said.
A child is also believed to have been involved, she added. A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said two ambulances and a manager were sent to the scene at 1.57pm, arriving 13 minutes later at 2.10pm.
She said: “We took one person to Royal Blackburn Hospital.” Information on the patient’s age, gender, or injuries were not available, the spokeswoman added.
