TWO men from Burnley have appeared in court in the Isle of Man charged with kidnapping.
Abdul Ahad, 21, of Kent Street, and Muhammed Hammad Khan, 24, who was born in Burnley but now lives of Jasmine Terrace, Bradford, appeared in Douglas courthouse on Saturday.
Two other men, 22-year-old Amman Sohail and 21-year-old Zishaan Amar Sharif, of Royscliff Road and St Michael’s Road, both in Bradford, have also been charged.
Isle of Man police said in a statement: “Police can confirm that following information received, four males from the United Kingdom were arrested on the Isle of Man on suspicion of kidnap on Friday, October 31, 2014.
“Following extensive and fast moving inquiries, the four were charged with that offence late on Friday night, and made a first appearance at court on Saturday, November 1, 2014.
“They were remanded in custody and will appear again on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.”
