OPERA star Jonathan Veira takes a break from Glynebourne and the London Royal Opera House to bring his one-man show to Burnley.
Jonathan is to appear at St Peter’s Church, Burnley, on Friday, November 21 at 7.30pm with his distinctive performance, which has cheered audiences in many parts of the country.
The singer, who is a regular performer on BBC Television’s Songs of Praise and has appeared in the world’s top opera houses, will amuse and entertain with stories of his life and a selection of songs from many genres – opera, gospel and pop.
“I love having the freedom to tell the stories of my life in an open, honest, and mostly funny way,” he said.
“I believe that all this together makes my show unique.”
The organiser, the Rev Leroy Bowtell, minister of Rosehill Baptist Church, said: “We are very fortunate to get Jonathan. He is so much in demand, but has made time to visit us in Burnley and we hope to get a good crowd. It will be a night of pure entertainment from one of the country's leading singers.”
Tickets – £8 in advance or £10 at the door – are available by contacting Leroy Bowtell on 07737708795 or wytha@talk21.com or by post from Rosehill Baptist Church, Rosehill Road, Burnley.
