“WE will come back stronger and give it everything we’ve got.”

That was the message from Accrington boyband singer Reece Bibby, whose band Stereo Kicks scraped through to the next round of the X Factor at the weekend.

Reece, 16, and his band mates were forced to take part in their second ‘sing-off’ of the competition after receiving the second fewest public votes, despite thrilling judges with a rendition of the Backstreet Boys’ Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) on Saturday’s live Fright Night show.

Simon Cowell told the group: “It’s not Backs-treet’s Back, it’s Stereo Kicks are back.

“Really, honestly, last week it worked for the first time. Now I believe you as a group, I really do.”

After the judges failed to agree on which act to send home, the boys or Lola Saunders, Lola was elim-inated on Sunday when it was revealed she had received fewer public votes.

Reece later took to social network site Twitter to thank his 82,200 followers for their support.

He said: “Thanks so much for the messages of support!!

“New start to a new week!

“We will come back stronger and give it everything we’ve got! xx”

The teen also retweeted messages sent from the band’s official Twitter account, which read: “Not sure what we did wrong! But rest assured we will try even harder next week.

“We are here to fight. Thank you to everyone who voted.

“Another difficult night but thank you for all the support!

“Time to rebuild again. Let’s have some fun!”

The band also survived the weekend’s first of two exits, on Saturday, which saw Jack Walton sent home.

Reece’s dad Jamie said: “I really think of Reece and all the boys know Reece is one of the strongest singers but his confidence is not as good as the others’ because he’s only 16 and a bit shy.

“The boys were very, very down on Sunday night although Reece is very level-headed and just wants to get on with it.

“As ridiculous as it sounds, it’s not good seeing your kid being put through that.

“They did everything they could.”
