Burnley Mechanics Bar and Hospitality Manager, Mark Dempsey, is excited to see chocolate enthusiasts take on the challenge.
He said: “We’re delighted to be working with Pendleside Hospice to help raise money for their vital work in the community.
“The 30-minute challenge is a bit of fun and we can’t wait to see if anyone can actually manage it.”
Lancashire Telegraph Digital Editor, Ryan Wood, failed in his attempt to beat the clock.
“When I first saw a picture of the challenge I thought I would easily do it.
“I watch Man v Food all the time and I was just waiting for something similar to come up in the area.
“ It was easy to begin with, but the red velvet cake and the chocolate fudge cake were so rich. The time just flew by and I felt pretty defeated at the end. I had a combination of ice cream, muffin and cheesecake left when the time ran out.
“I still can’t believe Lee Rothwell, from Burnley Mechanics, actually finished it with seven minutes left on the clock.”
