A STEREO Kicks fan from East Lancashire has launched a one-girl campaign to keep the boys in the X Factor competition this weekend.

Accrington teen Reece Bibby’s band will perform a Hallowe’en themed hit at a live show tonight as they hope to avoid a double elimination on the ITV show.

And 13-year-old Emmie Norton has been printing off posters urging people to vote to keep the band’s hopes of winning the show alive.

The youngster, who lives with her mum Helen, 45, and her brother Adam, 11, in Morse Street, Burnley, said she first became a fan when she saw the band perform ‘Run’ at the show’s bootcamp stage.

The Unity College student said: “I found out Reece was from Accrington, and started following them on Twitter. I became obsessed from there.”

Last weekend, in a t-shirt emblazoned with the Stereo Kicks poster, Emmie took the streets, slipping posters under car windscreen wipers and dropping them into supermarket trolleys.

And although she plans to hand out another pile of flyers this weekend, she isn’t fearful for the band’s X Factor future.

She said: “If they’re confident, I’m confident. I will be watching it at home with my mum and my brother.”

A free X Factor app is available for most smartphones, which allows fans to vote five times for free.
