A 41-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with dangerous driving after colliding with the Daisyfield level crossing on Moss Street.
Shahid Hussain, 41, of Sussex Drive, Blackburn, was sent on bail to Preston Crown Court for trial after pleading not guilty to dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the collision had not pushed the barrier on to the track but the damage caused had cost £3,465 and the road had been closed for the day.
