EAST Lancashire residents enjoyed a wicked weekend of Hallowe’en celebrations.

There were ghoulish goings-on across the county over three days starting on Friday evening.

Burnley Sainsbury’s held Hallowe’en themed 30th birthday celebrations. Staff donned costumes and stalked the aisles dressed as witches and vampires.

And in Clayton-Le-Moors the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce became the East Lancashire Chamber of Horrors, as staff dressed up to celebrate Hallowe’en.

The Chamber also took the opportunity to fundraise for the RSPCA on the day.

The Crown Ground was also filled with little horrors. Accrington Stanley held a children’s fancy dress competition during half time when they took on Morecambe with the Reds winning 2-1.

Meanwhile in Padiham the Hare and Hounds pub had some spooky brews on offer, during its Hallowe’en-themed mini beer festival.

And in Blackburn staff from Nigel’s Cutting Shop got into the Hallowe’en spirit by dressing up as spooky creatures, while Blackburn Youth Zone volunteers and staff really went to town, with some fiendishly frightening costumes.
