Water leak causes problems for Burnley residents
A WATER leak caused problems for Burnley residents on Saturday evening.
The leak on Oak Street affected customers in the BB12 postcode area, causing houses to have no water at all, or just a trickle.
The incident was reported to United Utilities at 5.15pm, and a team of engineers was sent out to fix the problem. Homes were without water for several hours while the leak was dealt with.
Engineers were in Oak Street yesterday morning repairing the ‘complex’ leak but United Utilities moved in water from a different area so homes would not be without.
