THE cream of the county’s tourism businesses are counting down to the prestigious Lancashire Tourism Awards.
Among those shortlisted is the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa, the four star venue is vying for the title “Large Hotel of the Year”.
Dating back to the 14th century, this former manor house in Clayton-le-Moors is famous for combining historic splendour with chic, modern facilities including wi-fi, pool, spa and gym.
The awards are being held at Blackpool Tower Ballroom on November 6.
