SEVEN men and a teenage boy have appeared before the courts charged in connection with a spate of burglaries.
Police said their investigations centred on 21 burglaries at Asian homes in Blackburn when £108,000 worth of Asian gold jewellery was stolen.

The burglaries were all committed between April and July. All of those who appeared before Blackburn Magistrates were from Manchester.
Benjamin Breheny, 23, of Brierly Gardens, Jumayne Bruce, 22, and Daniel Weaver, 21, both of no fixed address, Carl Hayward, 27, of Brailsford Road, and Anthony McKenna, 27, of William Jessop Court, were all sent in custody to Preston Crown Court.
They will appear at the Ringway court on November 17.
Dean Michael Kieran, 30, of Ashby Avenue, Nikeel Locke, 30, of Broadlee Road, and the 17-year-old were sent on bail to appear on the same date.
