TOP leadership, high quality teaching and meticulous care secure excellent achievement for all children at a Burnley nursery, Ofsted has found.

Inspectors rated Rosegrove Nursery, in Havelock Street, ‘outstanding’.

Lead inspector Clare Henderson said in a report: “Children excel in early reading, writing and mathematics skills.

“Exciting, imaginative activities and opportunities to experience a wide range of cultures and religious traditions enable children to be extremely tolerant and understanding towards one another.

“The key to its success is the inspirational leadership of the headteacher.”
