RESIDENTS in East Lancashire are being encouraged to access a range of free courses to help improve their health and wellbeing.
The Healthy Minds Academy, managed and co-ordinated through Lancashire Women’s Centres, is running a programme of courses in venues throughout the area.
The programme includes personal development courses to build self-esteem, therapeutic groups, cognitive behavioural therapy and accredited learning courses.
Tracey Arden, training and development lead at the Healthy Minds Academy, said: “The wide range of partners that make up the Healthy Minds Academy are all specialists in a variety of fields and so as a group we are able to offer residents a wide range of courses.
People can self-refer by phoning the Healthy Minds Academy on 07475 480735 or by visiting their GP, who will refer them.
