A VANDAL who caused £100 damage to a car as part of a ‘mini spree’ was ordered to pay the owner compensation.
Burnley magistrates heard how Lee John Morris, 31, struck at 7am and was said to have been ‘bouncing about’, before he smashed the headlight of the Toyota Yaris.
The defendant, of Cambridge Street, Colne, admitted damage at Colne, on July 22. He was given a £100 compensation order. Morris has already been sentenced for the rest of the ‘little spree’.
Glen Smith, for Morris, said he was quite a vulnerable young man. He added: “His cognitive ability is very limited indeed.”
