New campaign to help people with dementia in Rossendale
AN initiative to help people with dementia in Rossendale has been launched.
Working Towards a Dementia Friendly Rossendale is a community initiative to encourage and where possible inspire all sectors of the community to become dementia friendly.
Following on from a successful launch event, community events are being held at venues across the valley in order to try and reach as many residents as possible.
These events will provide opportunities for people to learn more about dementia.
An event will take place at the Riverside, Whitworth, on Friday, November 7, at 6.30pm and at Whitewell Bottom Youth and Community Centre on Wednesday, November 12, at 6.30pm.
