A MUSICAL tribute to the First World War will be held in Accrington this weekend.
Top soprano Clare Wilkinson will be joined by John Turner on the recorder, Thomas Verity on the clarinet, and pianist Ian Buckle as they deliver a lunchtime performance of ‘Remembering the Great War’.
The concert will offer up the music of composers who were involved in the First World War.
The event, in association with Accrington Clef Club, will be held at Accrington Library, in St James’ Street, from 12.30pm on Saturday.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £8 for children and senior citizens. For more information, call 01772 533040.
