POLICE would like to speak to a man in connection with a burglary, theft from a car and the theft of a Mercedes in Whittle-Le-Woods in Chorley.

The incidents happened at some time between 3am and 5am on the morning of Thursday 28 August.

Nearly £1,000 worth of valuable items including an iPhone, laptop, handbag and cash were taken from a property on Spinney Close.

It is believed someone had gained access to the property through a door at the back of the house and left via the front door.

It is thought that a car on the driveway was also searched but nothing was taken.

On Harvest Drive, it is believed an Audi A5 car was targeted and the glove box was searched and some loose change taken.

Also on Harvest Drive, a black Mercedes E-class was taken from a driveway after the keys are thought to have been taken from inside the owner’s property.

The Mercedes was last seen on the M60 Jct 16 - 17 travelling eastbound in lane three at around 5.15am on Thursday 28 August.

Officers have released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with their enquiries.

PC Paul Harrison of Chorley Police said: “We are keen to speak to the man pictured as we believe that he could help us with our enquiries. Anyone with information should contact police on 101.”
