A TEENAGER put a brick through the windscreen of a police car to get himself locked up.
But Alexander John Jones immediately changed his mind and ran off before he could be arrested.
Jones, 18, of Edmund Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to causing £200 worth of damage to a vehicle belonging to Lancashire Constabulary.
Damian Pickup, defending, said Jones had been kicked out by his mother and had called the police planning to get arrested so he could have a roof over his head for the night.
