GYPSY travellers have descended on Colne Sports Centre car park and set up camp.
When staff turned up for work at the Crown Way leisure facility yesterday (MONDAY) morning they found twelve caravans and arround twenty cars and vans were found parked outside the building.

Bosses and witnesses said that the travellers took up every inch of space across all three of the centre’s car parks.
Chief Executive of Pendle Leisure Trust, Phil Storey said: “It’s a real inconvenience for us as our members and people who want to use the centre are turning up as normal but finding they have nowhere to park.
“The centre was open yesterday and there were members of staff here until about 6pm.
“The travellers must have turned up sometime after that because when staff arrived this morning at 7.30am, the travellers were already here.”
This is the second time that Pendle Leisure Centre has been used as a camp site by travellers. In July last year, a French family were issued with an eviction notice by Pendle Council after setting up camp at the site.
