Motorcyclist in hospital after serious crash near Hoghton Tower
A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a serious crash near Hoghton Tower.
The emergency services were called to the scene in Blackburn Old Road shortly after 10.30pm on Saturday.
The man suffered a fractured left leg, a spinal injury and multiple internal injuries and is believed to be in a stable condition in hospital.
The road was closed for seven hours before reopening at 5.30am.
