A 24 year old man has appeared in court on death by dangerous driving charges following the fatal two car crash in Hyndburn Road, Accrington, last week.
Dudley Riley was produced at Preston magistrates because injuries he sustained in the collision would have made it difficult to put him in the dock at the Blackburn court.
Reilly, of Floyd Road, Ribbleton, Preston, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving of Aurang Zeb Khan and Muhammed Rafique Khan; causing serious injury by dangerous driving to Gourmeaj Singh, Wayne Peel and Rifkat Khan. He is also charged with failing to stop after a road traffic accident and causing death by dangerous driving while driving other than in accordance with a licence and without insurance.
All the charges relate to his driving of a Mercedes C250 on Hyndburn Road on October 14.
Reilly was sent in to Preston Crown Court where he will appear on October 31.
