SUPERMODEL-turned-actress Agyness Deyn wowed crowds at a film premiere in London with a sleek new look.
The 31-year-old, from Rossendale, became catwalk royalty with her cropped pixie hair and punky look when she burst onto the fashion scene.
In 2007 the former All Saints' RC High School, Rawtenstall, pupil was voted Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards But Agyness, formerly Laura Hollins, showed off a more demure look, complete with flowing red hair courtesy of Crawshawbooth stylist Jon Claxton.
She was stepping out at the first screening of her new movie, Electricity, in which she plays epileptic Lily O’Connor.
Jan Shutt, who spotted Agyness’ modelling potential when she worked in The Village Chippy, Stubbins, as a teenager said she was impressed by the reinvention.
Ms Shutt, boss of Rawtenstall fashion firm Sunday Best, said: “I think the fact she’s grown out of the fashion side of things and is more concerned with being an actress means she’s gone for a more feminine look.
“She rose right to the top of the fashion world and she can be a success at whatever she turns her hand to. You can’t stay the same style forver and this look really suits her.”
Agyness lives in Los Angeles with her actor husband Giovanni Ribisi, who she married in 2012, but still calls into Claxton Hair in Burnley Road whenever she’s visiting family.
Owner Jon said: “She needed to get her hair done to suit the character and she loved it.
Electricity will be launched nationwide from December 5.
