A POPULAR Ramsbottom pub has won a top hospitality accolade.

The Railway, in Bridge Street, has been presented with the Certificate of Excellence award by TripAdvisor.

Now in its fourth year, the award celebrates hospitality excellence and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.

Winners are located all over the world and represent the upper echelon of pubs and restaurants listed on the website, with only the top 10 per cent receiving the award.

The accolade is given to businesses that have received praise and recognition, with at least an overall rating of four out of five.

Licensee Jotham Roberts said: “Most of the reviews praise not only our beer quality and the high standards of food, but how consistent it is - which I think is extremely important.”
