A PORTUGESE national caught stealing aftershave from Debenhams told police; “It’s not murder or anything, it’s only shoplifting.”
Blackburn magistrates heard Carlos Pina had been cautioned for shoplifting on June 4 and then convicted on June 10, 14 and 21 before the latest offence.
Pina, 38, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing aftershave worth £173.
He was made subject to a six months drug rehabilitation requirement.
Ian Huggan, defending, said his client’s offending was linked to his addiction to heroin.
