A VIOLENT teenager who attacked three Nelson police officers on July 4 is facing sentence by Burnley magistrates.
Shannon Elizabeth Parry, 18, had became aggressive and lashed out when officers were called to Pilgrim Street, Nelson, because a man was self-harming, the court was told.
Parry was not allowing the police to carry out their inquiries. She was asked for her details, started to swear at officers and told them: “Who do you think you are, telling me what to do ?”
She was asked to leave and when an officer grabbed her arm, she hit him full in the face.
The hearing was told Parry was pushed against a wall, struck the officer again, in the cheek, and was punching out at police.
The defendant, of Alexandra Close, Clayton-le-Moors, admitted three counts of police assault.
She was bailed until Tuesday, August 12, for a pre-sentence report.
