EAST Lancashire is expected to be bathed in warm sunshine this week.
The Met Office has predicted the region will experience highs of 26 degrees centigrade until the weekend when there’s a risk of showers.
As the school holidays begin in earnest for most, there will be highs of 23 degrees today before that rises up to 26 tomorrow and for the rest of the week.
A spokeswoman from the Met Office said: “There will be rain on both Saturday and Sunday but the temperatures will remain high.
“There is also a possibly of thunder storms but nothing on the same scale as last week.”
