PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has welcomed new unemployment figures for June 2014 that show the number of unemployed people in Pendle is falling.
The number of unemployed claimants in Pendle in June 2014 was 1,305, 568 lower than in June 2013.
Andrew Stephenson MP said “The latest fall in unemployment in Pendle shows the Governments long term economic plan is helping get people back to work.
“I regularly meet with representatives of Pendle’s two Job Centre’s and am very encouraged by news of a rising number of vacancies and record numbers in work. There is still a lot more to do to help people back into work, but this is great news for families across Pendle.”
