THOUSANDS of people enjoyed Rishton’s annual festival as the summer sun beamed down on Saturday.
The ‘Pride of Britain’ themed event started with a parade from Rishton Station at 10.30am.
Participants enjoyed music from the Haslingden and Helmshore Band as they marched to Norden High School, in Stourton Street, for 11am.
There, visitors dressed in Second World War garb, flying Union Jack flags, enjoyed stalls set up in the car park and on the field, where children’s races were also held.
Hyndburn MP Graham Jones, and mayor Munsif Dad, attended the festival, which saw several awards handed out, included best dressed, and best stall.
