A MAN has been taken to hospital with a suspected heart problem after his car hit a wall in Great Harwood this morning.
The emergency services were called to the scene near The Game Cock Inn, Whalley Road, shortly after 9am.
Passersby called the ambulance service after failing to wake the man up.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital by paramedics after being cut out of the car by the fire service.
He had been driving a Ford Focus and no-one else was involved.
It is believed that the man is now sitting up in hospital and is considered to be out of danger.
The road is closed but is expected to be reopened soon.
