A RIBBLE Valley hotel is aiming to raise funds to help the Rosemere Cancer Foundation raise £50,000 for its Valentine’s Appeal.

Stanley House Hotel and Spa in Mellor has donated 10 prizes to Rosemere, collectively worth over £500, including a luxury ‘escape for the night’ package and a ‘perfect pamper’ experience.

All raffle tickets will be drawn at the Valentine’s Appeal raffle hosted by the Rosemere Cancer Centre on Friday.

Rosemere’s Valentine’s Appeal aims to provide care and facilities to cancer patients in both the specialist regional cancer centre at Preston and local cancer units in Lancashire and South Cumbria.

General manager at Stanley House Hotel and Spa, Philip Wharton, said: “Many of us have been affected by cancer, whether that’s personally or through the loss of a loved one.

“The Valentine’s appeal is yet another fantastic fundraising initiative run by Rosemere and Stanley House is so pleased to be able to contribute with the prizes and assist the charity in reaching its fundraising target.”
