TWO people have appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged in connection with the discovery of a cannabis production facility by fire-fighters called to a blaze in the attic of a house in Great Harwood.
Lauren Chippendale, 28, of Wood Street, Hapton, Burnley, and Robert Collinge, 29, of Bear Street, Burnley, were sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court charged with producing cannabis and abstracting electricity without authority.
Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, told the court there were two young children in the house in Windsor Road, Great Harwood, when fire-fighters attended the blaze which had started in the vicinity of the cannabis farm.
