Dorothy Walsh
BLACKBURN with Darwen councillor and former mayor Dorothy Walsh died this morning.
Tributes are expected to be paid to the Labour councillor, who lived in Hereford Road and represented the Higher Croft ward, at a council meeting later tonight.
Coun Walsh was a councillor around 20 years, sat on the board of Twin Valley Homes, and was a trustee of MIND, a local mental health charity.
She worked for the Royal Ordnance Factory and was a home help for almost 20 years before she retired.
