TODAY is children’s fun day for Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen Salim Mulla.
He and his wife and Mayoress Sayeeda will be visiting a series of children’s centres in the borough holding the events to raise cash for his charity to get two kidney dialysis machines for Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
Coun Mulla and his wife will be at Livesey Children’s and Age Centre at 9.30am before moving to Darwen Children’s Centre at 11am.
Then it’s Little Harwood Children’s Centre at 1pm and Audley and Queens Park Children’s Centre at 2pm.
At 5pm Coun Mulla will hold a Mayor’s Charity Meeting in Mayor’s Parlour.
There will be further children’s fun day event for the appeal at Bangor St Community Centre on Saturday from noon to 4pm.
Family activities planned include a climbing wall, face painting, craft activities, stalls, health checks, exercise taster sessions, henna painting, ladies pampering activities, raffle and tombola, and cake decoration.
