A MAN has appeared before magistrates in Cornwall charged with the murder of a former Rossendale man.
Kevin Cooper, 33, from Redruth, was accused of killing David Alderson, who is originally from Rawtenstall, and whose body was found in mine works on January 18.
Cooper, who had been arrested in Newbury, Berkshire, was remanded in custody at the Truro hearing, to appear before the town’s crown court on March 4.
Mr Alderson, a former driving instructor, moved to Cornwall from East Lancashire around 30 years ago.
He was last seen living his home in the Old Hall area of Falmouth on January 17.
