A WOMAN was left with minor injuries after her Nissan Micra went into the back of a lorry on the Haslingden bypass.

The woman's car hit the Mercedes truck at 1.30pm, leaving an obstruction on the southbound carriageway near the Tesco superstore.

Police were on the scene clearing the debris but traffic had started to build up on the road, which leads on to the M66.

Although shaken by the crash, the woman was deemed to be fine after checks on the scene by paramedics.
