A WOMAN has been killed on the train track near Langho Railway Station.

Lancashire police, paramedics and British Transport Police were called to the scene after an incident at 6pm on Sunday.

The person hit is thought to be a young woman. Police last night had not identified. They were not treating the incident as suspicious.

The incident involved the 5.40pm service from Clitheroe to Manchester Oxford Road. The woman was hit very close to the Station where train lines pass through Mytton Fold Golf Course.

Cancellations were made to services between Clitheroe and Blackburn after the incident happened.
