POLICE are appealing for information after a 25-year-old man was the victim of an unprovoked assault in a Burnley nightclub.
In the early hours of January 19, at Posh Nightclub on Ormerod Street, a man was knocked unconscious in an unprovoked attack.
The victim suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket.
Officers are trying to trace the man responsible and are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened to contact them.
DC Hayden Sibley said, “We are making a number of enquiries to try and trace the person responsible and as part of that, I would appeal to anyone who was in the club and saw what happened to get in touch with us.
"The victim on the night was wearing a white t-shirt with a grey cardigan over the top and dark jeans, and the assault happened as he crossed the dance floor to find his friends – if anyone was there and saw what happened, please call police on 101.”
