PENDLE residents have until February 17 to join People Power – a scheme that gets people better deals on their energy bills.
The innovative initiative uses the collective bargaining power of groups of people to persuade the energy companies to lower their prices.
Coun Joe Cooney, leader of Pendle Council, said: “Remarkably, many residents haven’t reviewed their bills or even changed their energy provider in years and these people could be set to make significant savings through the scheme. Even those who joined and saved money last year could still get themselves a better deal.
“So it is worth doing whenever the opportunity arises.”
