SHELLEY Rudman won a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, and she is aiming to return to the podium in Sochi.
The 32-year-old, who originally hails from Pewsey in Wiltshire, is the partner of Waterfoot’s Kristan Bromley and the pair will both compete in the skeleton at next month’s Olympics.
Rudman shot to fame with a silver in the skeleton eight years ago but finished sixth in Vancouver in 2010, when the now retired fellow Brit Amy Williams took gold.
“Turin was amazing, Vancouver I just slightly missed a medal so I was disappointed,” Rudman said.
“I know I’ve done everything possible to go out there and perform as well as I can.
“I’d really like to walk away from this Olympics feeling really proud to have been in this position of being at my third Olympics.
“I want walk away with a smile on my face, knowing I did everything possible.”
